6 Spots for Columbus Day 2018 in NYC
A festive and observed day is Columbus Day, so popular among New Yorkers and is led by the Italian and Spanish community in NYC. We can confirm this because of the long and grand parade through the streets of Manhattan, religious activities in the Cathedral of St. Patrick, remembrance in the Columbus Circle, and some special menus in Italian restaurants. So we will talk about celebrations around this day.

Desde un largo y grande desfile por las calles de Manhattan, actividades religiosas en la Catedral de San Patricio, remembranza en el Columbus Circle, y algunos menús especiales en restaurantes italianos.

The Columbus Day parade is observed every second Monday in October. This time it will be on October 8, and it begins at noon and ends at approximately 3:00 pm. The route starts at 5th. Avenue and 44th Street, and continue north on 72nd Street.
El desfile de Columbus Day se celebra cada segundo lunes de octubre; esta vez será el 8 de octubre, comenzará a medio día y culminará a las 3:00 pm aproximadamente. La ruta comienza en la 5a. Avenida y la calle 44, y continúa hacia el norte en la 72.

Each Columbus Day, the National Council of Columbian Associations in Civil Service and the Columbus Citizens Foundation lay a wreath at Christopher Columbus Monument located at Columbus Circle in Midtown.

Before Columbus Day, at other spots in NYC, some events will be held such as:
Indigenous Peoples Day On Sunday 7th (7:00 am – 5:00 pm) and Monday 8th (7:00 am – 4:00 pm) a big party looms on Randall’s Island in honor of the native cultures of America.
Dominican Parade On Sunday, October 7 at 12:00 pm, the parade begins kicks off at the 6th. Ave and 35th Street, and it goes to 56th street.
Panamanian Day Parade Saturday, October 6 at 11:00 am, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
Antes del Columbus Day, en distintos puntos de NYC se celebrarán algunos otros eventos como:
Indigenous Peoples Day El domingo 7 (de 7:00 am a 5:00 pm) y el lunes 8 (de 7:00 am a 4:00 pm) una gran fiesta se avecina en Randall’s Island en honor de las culturas nativas de América.
Dominican Parade El domingo 7 de octubre a las 12:00 pm, comienza entre la 6a. avenida y la calle 35, y recorre hasta la calle 56.
Panamanian Day Parade El sábado 6 de octubre a las 11:00 am, en Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
