In this year they could not stay out of the harsh reality, but without moving away from that magical image that each year they strengthen with different infallible elements. This year the main theme of the most famous window in Manhattan is to symbolize the gratitude for the health professionals who have given their all, and even their lives, and continue in the fight against COVID. So what more magical and inspiring than an offering full of happiness, empathy, and thousands of colors like the one in Herald’s Square with a big “Thank You“.

Por lo regular, las temáticas de los display de Macy’s son tremendamente inspiradoras y llenas de un mensaje por demás positivo. En este año no podían mantenerse al margen de la cruda realidad, pero sin alejarse de esa imagen mágica que cada año fortalecen con distintos elementos infalibles. Este año el tema principal del ventanal más célebre de Manhattan es el de hacer simbólico el agradecimiento por las profesionales de la salud que han dado todo de sí, e incluso su vida, y continúan en la lucha contra el COVID. Así que qué más mágico e inspirador que una ofrenda llena de felicidad, empatía y miles de colores como la de Herald’s Square con un enorme “Thank You”.

It is thanks to its beautiful displays and its incredible Christmas tree (if we stick to last year’s experience), that all that sidewalk becomes a dream for passersby.

Para quienes viven en el área de Brooklyn o Queens, la sucursal de Macy’s en Downtown Brooklyn es una excelente alternativa para disfrutar de toda la magia de Navidad. Es gracias a sus hermosos display y a su increíble árbol de Navidad (si nos ceñimos a la experiencia del año pasado), que toda esa acera se vuelve un ensueño para los transeúntes.

If you haven’t had the fortune to behold the beauty of Saks during the New Year’s Eve parties, you can virtually attend the grand opening on November 23th and stay safe at home.
