In two branches in Manhattan, La Contenta serves the typical (and not so typical Mexican dishes) in an unusual way: everything has an aesthetic harmony that never ceases to amaze and the cleanliness of each element is also highlighted. And if that wasn’t enough, they add in their drink menu, in addition to the usual micheladas, they included the delicious tepache and 2 pulques: guava and guanabana.


En dos sucursales en Manhattan, La Contenta sirve los típicos (y no tan típicos platillos mexicanos) de una forma poco peculiar: todo posee una armonía estética que no deja de asombrar y la limpieza de cada elemento es también de resaltarse. Y para no dejar de sorprendernos, agregan en su menú de bebidas, además de las acostumbradas micheladas, incluyeron el delicioso tepache y 2 pulques: de guayaba y guanábana.

Este lugar cómodo y casual en Flushing, Queens, te ofrece su menú como la carta de presentación infalible. En él, encuentras comida marina, como ceviche, coctel de camarón, pero también las tradicionales, como la carne Tampiqueña, chiles rellenos y sopa de tortilla. The Gordo’s Cantina, in Long Island City, is one of the places offered by an ear of street corn or a today dog with cream and pico de gallo as a starter for you to go biting. Then it will make you reach the main course and you want even more because an order of tacos of carnitas or cochinita pibil will never be enough. If you arrive at the enchiladas de mole negro de Oaxaca or the yellow mole with fish, it will be a triumph.


“La Cantina del Gordo”, en Long Island City, es de los lugares que te ofrece un elote callejero o un hoy dog con crema y pico de gallo como entrada para que te vayas picando. Después te hará que llegues al plato principal y desees todavía más, porque una orden de tacos de carnitas o de cochinita pibil nunca serán suficientes. Si llegas a las enchiladas de mole negro de Oaxaca o al mole amarillo con pescado, será un triunfo.

It’s a cozy and casual restaurant, with a nice atmosphere, and where you can eat deliciously, because its menu is basically Mexican food that is typically sold on the street, which any Mexican knows perfectly: tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, and RED RICE, among others. Es un restaurante súper casual, con una atmósfera linda, y en el que puedes comer deliciosamente, porque su menú es básicamente comida mexicana que típicamente se vende en la calle, la que cualquier mexicano conoce a la perfección: tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, y ARROZ ROJO, entre otros. Por las bebidas (¡Margaritas!) como las que no cumplirán el cometido de hacerte feliz por su sabor y calidad.
