So we are finally halfway through the year! June arrives with many events and things to do, and we hope to have listed the top ones that fit your “things to do” list. Don’t lose track of any of them and remember that outdoor activities, such as movie screenings, are back and stronger than ever.

Bryant Park Picnic Performances by Bank of America

What are the picnic performances in Bryant Park about? These are 26 live music, dance, and theater events produced in collaboration with a reputable diverse, and storied lineup of New York City performing arts institutions. And in case you don’t have time to go in person, you’ll be pleased to know that around 20 events this season will also be available for live streaming from start to finish.

The season begins on May 27 with the splendid production of Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, performed by the New York City Opera. Don’t forget that this series of summer events closes on September 17 and they will do so with a concert for the 60th Anniversary of the American Symphony Orchestra.

This is Movie Nights, which is part of the series of screenings of movies at night throughout the summer and part of the fall. This event is presented by Paramount+, in collaboration with Vulture. You can buy snacks and drinks at the authorized stands.

Coney Island 40th Annual Mermaid Parade

Coney Island Mermaid Parade is back after almost 3 years of absence. The date is the next Saturday, June 18, 2022. So the Parade kicks off at West 21st Street and Surf Avenue, and At Steeplechase Plaza, the Parade will disband.
